Data controller

Asociația DACnetwork Web3 (registration in progress under OG 26/2000), based in Bucharest, Romania, is the personal data controller under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Romanian Law no. 190/2018.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, protect and transfer personal data across the DACnetwork ecosystem: the website dacnetwork.io, the rutaX app, the DACmeta platform and community channels (X, Telegram, Discord, LinkedIn).

1. Personal data we collect

We collect only the minimum data needed to operate our services (including Proof of Activity). Categories include:

  • Identity data: name, email, username (community registration, airdrops, contact).
  • Technical data: Solana wallet address, IP, device info (security and anti-fraud).
  • Location data: GPS coordinates and distances (rutaX app), only with explicit consent; deleted after 30 days if not needed for rewards.
  • Financial / KYC data: only when required by law (e.g. rewards above relevant thresholds, ONPCSB / MiCA).
  • Interaction data: public channel messages, feedback (preferably anonymised).

2. Purposes and legal bases

Processing is based on Art. 6 GDPR:

  • Contract / service delivery: PoA, $DAC rewards, access to ecosystem products.
  • Legitimate interests: security, anti-fraud, website improvement.
  • Legal obligations: KYC/AML where applicable (MiCA / Romanian authorities).
  • Consent: location in rutaX, marketing (newsletter), non-essential cookies — withdrawable at any time.

3. Retention

  • Transactional data (wallet, rewards): up to 5 years for audit and legal duties.
  • GPS data: 30 days, auto-deleted when no longer needed.
  • Community / account data: until account deletion or upon request (right to erasure, Art. 17 GDPR).

4. Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We may share data only with:

  • Technical providers (hosting, Solana blockchain, app infrastructure) under confidentiality terms.
  • Security or compliance auditors, on a need-to-know basis.
  • Authorities, only upon lawful request.
  • International transfers: we prefer EU storage; where blockchain or non-EU providers are involved, we apply appropriate safeguards (Art. 46 GDPR).

5. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object, port data and withdraw consent. Exercise rights at admin@dacnetwork.io (response within 30 days).

6. Security

We use TLS on the website, access controls and security best practices. High-risk breaches are notified within legal timelines (Art. 33 GDPR).

dacnetwork.io uses:

  • Essential storage: language preference, GDPR consent, basic site operation.
  • Optional cookies (e.g. analytics): only if you choose “Accept all”. You may choose “Essential only”.
